There are a variety of games and activities that require volunteers. Each one is unique and thus will require different numbers of people and skills to operate. The list below describes each game and its general requirements. All games are paid for via tokens, or coupons, and winners are given a plastic "gold" coin to exchange for a prize.

This very popular game involves launching rubber frogs at a target by hitting a catapult lever with an oversized sledgehammer. There are three catapults that can be played at the same time. This is an easy game to run; recommended minimum of 2 people on duty at a time.
Eliminate the rats in the kitchen by hitting them with a thrown beanbag. This is another popular and easy game to run. Recommend a minimum of 1 to 2 people on duty at a time.
A sea-themed game that involves dropping large wooden doubloons onto a sequence of staggered pegs (based on plinko). This is popular with small children because no skill is required and the action is interesting. An easy game to run; recommend 1 to 2 people on duty at a time.

This is an exciting and popular ride that requires a large team to operate. The galleon is 8'x4' and it seats up to 6 people. Its bottom is curved so one or two people can rock it. The ride is accompanied by a simple story about a sea voyage (leaving port, a storm, bad food, etc.). Once the destination is reached, it is found that pirates have captured the fortress and a cannonball battle ensues (using nerf balls). The fortress is manned by one operator and whoever else wants to join in (there is no lack of kids willing to man the fortress). This requires a minimum of 3 people on duty at a time and they will need frequent rotations because of the effort required.

A free activity for kids that is a combination of a scavenger and treasure hunt. Participants circulate among fair vendors to recover the Queen's jewels. When completed, they can string the jewels on a bracelet to keep, and go to meet the Queen. This is fun to do if you like kids and would enjoy getting them excited about the quest; recommended minimum of 2 people on duty at a time.
In this game participants fire cannons (24" long) at a target shaped like the side of a ship. The cannons are large popguns that shoot foam golf balls (it is all very safe). The cannons are a little tricky to load and fire, so some people will need help to figure them out. There should be 2 people on duty at a time for this game.
This game is easy to run and popular. The goal is to use a model catapult (6"x4") to toss a tiny beanbag into a model castle (roughly 16"x13"). There are 4 catapults that can be fired at the same time. There should be 2 people on duty at a time for this game.
Besides games there are many other jobs for teams and individual volunteers. These include merchandise sales (e.g. T-shirts), game ticket sales, prize redemption and security. We would also like to assemble a physically fit volunteer team to help disabled patrons navigate their wheelchairs around Las Golondrinas.
Please click here for the volunteer sign-up page with descriptions of all available jobs. We hope you will consider taking on this very important -- and fun -- task!
